I felt so excited when Danielle and Michael approached me to photograph their wedding. Hearing about their love story and how they met instantly made me connect with them on a deeper level. It was clear that these two were meant for each other, and I couldn’t wait to capture their special day. Being a Florida wedding photographer provides me with the incredible opportunity to meet and work with amazing couples like Danielle and Michael. Each love story is unique and special, and it is a privilege to be entrusted with capturing these moments. 

How It All Started

When Danielle & Michael came to me to photograph their wedding, we talked about their love story and how they met. It’s one of my favorite ones to share. Michael and Danielle met at the pool during a summer cookout and quickly connected on their love for children and faith. Danielle is a special education teacher and Michael is a behavioral therapist for kids with special needs. Both Michael & Danielle had such a great time they forgot to exchange numbers. However, Michael reached out the next morning by emailing her school email and asked her out on a first date. Guess where the first date was….  a local ice cream shop. So sweet!!! 

The Proposal

Now Michael’s proposal story is by far one of my favorites. Michael proposed in a VERY unique way. He recruited friends to act in an 80’s action film. He even sent it to a professional videographer to add visual and audio effects. In front of their family and friends they all watched the movie which starred “Michael” and “Danielle” and it followed the story of Michael training in order to win back his girlfriend Danielle that was stolen by the bad guys. When he fought to get Danielle back he got down on one knee- in the movie and in real life! The whole proposal was true to our relationship. Fun and full of adventure. The wedding day was a true reflection of this kind of love and dedication.   

The morning of, both got ready with their loved ones, before having a first look. I would say, Michael’s face is by far the sweetest reaction I’ve seen yet.  Make sure you scroll to see. Cutest thing ever!

You can tell these two are just made for each other. They are just full of joy and have that comfortable familiarity between them that you know means they are soul mates. I absolutely loved the entire time we got to hang out.

Their ceremony was so heartfelt, and you could sense the love in the crowd. 

Danielle wanted an elegant modern minimalist look with black, gold, and greenery. A stunning wedding color pallet.  I loved the bridesmaid dresses which wore only black dresses and her honorary bridesmaids had different shades of neutral colors. 

After these two became newlyweds, we took formal portraits with family then stopped to take some beautiful golden hour photos on the pier.  Their family and friends enjoyed a cocktail hour, and then- we started the party!! The dance floor was full of their closest family and friends. The joy was just unbelievable, and I felt so lucky to be the one capturing it all.

Michael & Danielle left their wedding through a sparkler exit, and closed out the best day of their lives.
